Ironically I just picked up a byf 43, P-38 today, supposidly a Russian capture, sr #4764n. Mine is marked exactly like yours with a diffrent font for the suffix on the barrel. Being brand new at this, I ain't got a clue but it is curious that that 10 years apart purchases have exactly the same stampings.
